This type of coffee maker, unlike some others, can not be called new or fashionable, or developing and acquiring new functions or qualities – after all, the culture of making coffee in Turkish is the ancestor of the entire culture of its consumption. Probably, therefore, there are not so many ways to prepare such coffee and types of Turkish coffee makers.

There are the following types:

Espresso

Espresso

These are devices for making coffee according to the “espresso” recipe, that is, bypassing under pressure heated almost to boiling water and steam through the thickness of ground coffee. This method of cooking was invented in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century. Since then, many schemes and layouts of devices have been born that implement this method of brewing coffee, which is not the easiest from the technical side.

Drip coffee makers work as follows: water boils in the inner tank, then enters the compartment with ground coffee and drops through its thickness, then, passing through a strainer, it is poured into the lower container with the finished coffee.

This type of coffee maker is one of the most common. Prepared coffee-contains a small amount of caffeine, and can be consumed in large quantities.

The principle of operation of a geyser coffee maker was described in the 19th century. The device consists of three hermetically connected compartments-at the bottom-a chamber for heating and boiling water, in the middle-a compartment for ground coffee, at the top – a compartment for the finished drink. Another type of such coffee makers is the percolator.

Vacuum coffee maker

Exotic type of coffee maker. Even a coffee maker, this device is difficult to call-rather, a device for getting a drink. The principle of operation of a vacuum coffee maker is technically simple, but to make a good coffee, you need to practice for a long time.

The device consists of two containers, the first contains water, the second-coffee. After heating, water from the first container is squeezed out by water vapor into the second, brews coffee and, after cooling, returns back to the first in the form of a drink.

Invented in the 19th century, the design was constantly improved, and by the beginning of the 20th century, all possible changes were reduced to cosmetics. The coffee maker consists of a glass Cup and a movable piston with a filter screen. To make coffee, a Cup is filled with coarsely ground coffee, hot water is poured, and infused for a few minutes. To separate the drink and the grounds from the top, a piston is inserted into the glass, which is pushed almost to the bottom.

Capsule coffee maker

Capsule coffee maker

These devices take their name from capsules with coffee, or Chald. The capsule contains ground coffee, designed for one serving. The method of preparation is the same as that of espresso coffee makers, that is, the capsule is punctured, and hot water passes through it under pressure.

Recently, the design of capsules is becoming more and more perfect – they are made of foil, filled with inert gases. The popularity of capsule coffee makers increases due to ease of use.
